Jim Chu - Chief of Vancouver Police

Born and raised in East Vancouver, Mr. Jim Chu is the Chief Constable of the Vancouver Police Department. Mr. Chu achieved his Bachelors of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and an MBA from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Chu has also completed police training at the prestigious FBI National Executive Institute.
During his career in the Vancouver Police Department, Mr. Chu served in a number of investigative support roles including Detective, Corporal, Inspector, Sergeant - Recruiting, Deputy Chief of Support Services and in the Financial Services section. Mr. Chu is also active in a number of organizations in the community such as the Richmond Public Library Board, Justice Institute of BC, International Association of Chiefs of Police and the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police.
